SacTown Sports Summer Camp
is a multi-sport recreation camp put on by SacTown Sports. The camp is for kids ages 5–12, featuring flag football, soccer, wiffle baseball, dodgeball, basketball and water play — all led by PE teacher and local youth sports coach Shad Selby and his team of experienced coaches. This isn’t a competitive skills clinic— it’s a fun, active camp focused on movement, gameplay, and building confidence through play. Kids will stay moving and active, just like in PE class, with a mix of team games, fitness challenges, and skill-building activities. We’re all about exercise, teamwork, fun, and friendship. It’s the perfect way to burn energy, make friends, and try new sports in a supportive and high-energy environment.

COACH SHAD
I'm Shad Selby, founder of SacTown Sports. I'm a dedicated PE teacher and coach with a passion for movement, mentorship, and making sports fun for every kid — not just athletes. After a successful career as a creative director, I returned to my roots to inspire the next generation through sport, teamwork, and character-building.
Whether I’m coaching flag football, baseball, basketball, soccer, or leading multi-sport summer camps, my focus is always on creating an inclusive, energetic, learning, safe environment where kids build confidence, make friends, and develop lifelong skills. From the blacktop to the classroom, I believe in teaching life through play — one high-five, one lesson, one game at a time.
We have known Coach Shad for 4 years, and he has been working with our son since he was 6 years old. Coach Shad is an amazing mentor for kids with an incredible passion for teaching.
